Clinical Fellowship Year
The clinical fellowship year for Speech Language Pathologists is a mentored professional experience that begins after completing your master’s program in Communication sciences and disorders or speech language pathology field.
The purpose of Clinical fellowship year is for students to practice and get the experience they need to become speech language pathologists.
To complete your Clinical Fellowship year in California:
- You need to hold a Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Have completed 300 hours of clinical practicum in three different clinical settings
Duration
You need to complete 36 weeks of Full-time or 72 weeks of part-time supervised Required Professional Experience while holding an RPE license.

Clinical Fellowship year with Speech Improvement Center
We are now looking for a spirited, dedicated and proficient Clinical Fellow to grow with our company. Join a team of speech therapists who you can collaborate with and who are caring and fun loving.
Our team will be there every step of the way, providing:
- Comprehensive 1 week training starting the first day you join our team.
- Leadership and managerial trainings if you are interested in pursuing that route.
- Customer service and teamwork training for higher efficiency and customer satisfaction
Responsibilities
- Conduct speech therapy screening and evaluations.
- Conduct evaluations to determine if patient qualifies for services.
- Come to work daily at Clinic
- Research fun games and actives parents can do to practice therapy for children.
- Provide one on one therapy for patients and consult family members on therapy sessions
- Write out SOAP Notes and Professional evaluations
- Participate in weekly meetings to review new cases and progress of current cases.
- Ongoing speech screenings
